  • family and personal papers, and other genealogical materials

Museum Catalog

Not every item in our collection has been photographed, but you can still learn about what we have by searching our Museum Catalog. In our Museum Catalog, you can search for things like

  • objects

  • photographs and glass plate negatives

  • paintings, prints, and postcards

  • weapons and militaria

Items not currently on exhibition are generally available to be viewed by appointment, which may be scheduled with or through the VHS collections manager

We have recently added nearly 1,800 images from the Confederate Memorial Literary Society (CMLS) to our new Digital Collections Catalog. In the coming months, we will be adding photographs of items from our library and museum collections.
