When the Vatican reprimands U.S. nuns—citing their “radical feminism”—three fearless women risk their place in the Church to follow another higher calling: social justice. Following their struggles through the election of Pope Francis, the award-winning documentary Radical Grace (2015, 75 minutes) captures a period of dramatic transformation as the Catholic Church grapples with the modern world.
This program is cosponsored by Saint Gertrude High School. After the screening, filmmaker and director Rebecca Parrish will join us via Skype for a conversation with Sister Joanna Burley, OSB, and Head of Saint Gertrude, Renata Rafferty.
