The John Marshall Council honors Chief Justice John Marshall, the society's first president, and the James Madison Council honors President James Madison, who was elected an honorary member at the society's first meeting. Make your contributions to history education today.

Battle Abbey Council (Senior Fellow-$2,500, Fellow-$1,000, Associate-$500)

Established in 1985, the Battle Abbey Council has a long history of supporting the educational mission of the Virginia Historical Society. Make your contributions to history education today.
